ITC Grand Chola is thrilled to announce an extraordinary culinary experience, ‘Khublei Meghalaya,’ at Madras Pavilion. As part of the prestigious ‘Kitchens of India’ initiative, this five-day event from July 16-20, 2024 will celebrate the rich culinary heritage of Meghalaya, led by the talented sisters, Daphimanroi and Dakiwanri. Collaborating with renowned food evangelist Yogita Uchil, the event promises an immersive journey into the bold and aromatic flavours of Khasi cuisine.
Guests will have the opportunity to savour a wide array of traditional dishes prepared by renowned chefs from Meghalaya, using locally sourced ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. The menu includes: Pathaw Nei-long: White pumpkin in black sesame Doh Thad Syiar: Smoked chicken cooked in a tomato curry Jhur Khleh: Mixed vegetable salad in a perilla dressing Doh Shain: Khasi-style mutton meatballs Ja Shulia: Khasi sticky rice with fruit compote and crème anglaise. Live cooking demonstrations by expert chefs will showcase the art of Meghalayan culinary traditions. The experience will be further enriched with music, dance, and art displays, reflecting the vibrant cultural heritage of Meghalaya.
