7th June 2024- Newly elected MP and actress Kangana Ranaut was reportedly slapped by a CISF guard at Chandigarh airport on Thursday. Kangana, who recently won the Mandi constituency on a BJP ticket in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, was on her way to Delhi for a party meeting when the incident occurred.
Earlier in the day, Kangana had shared photos on Instagram, informing her followers about her trip to Delhi. According to reports, the CISF guard attacked Kangana over her past comments on the 2021 farmers’ protest. The guard allegedly hurled abuses and slapped Kangana during a security check.
The CISF constable has been suspended and arrested. Hours after the incident, Kangana took to social media to reassure her fans that she was safe. In a video statement, she recounted the incident and confirmed the assault.
