New Delhi, Mar 9: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) celebrated International Women’s Day 2026 at its headquarters in New Delhi with the theme “Give to Gain,” recognising the contributions of women in the renewable energy sector and encouraging greater participation in the journey towards sustainable development.
The event was graced by Anu Sethi, Director FEV India and behavioural expert, as the Chief Guest. The celebration was attended by Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director of IREDA, and Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Director along with senior officials of the organisation. Spouses and mothers of IREDA employees also participated, making the occasion a meaningful celebration with the extended IREDA family.
Addressing the gathering, Pradip Kumar Das appreciated the contributions of women employees to the organisation’s growth and highlighted the importance of gender diversity in strengthening governance, corporate values, and institutional performance. He noted that women constitute around 23 percent of IREDA’s workforce, one of the highest among Central Public Sector Enterprises
He also encouraged male employees to follow the “3R – Recognise, Respect and Reflect” approach to further strengthen the culture of women empowerment and inclusion in the workplace.
During the event, Chief Guest Anu Sethi conducted an interactive session on mindfulness and meditation, sharing valuable insights on achieving work-life balance and personal wellbeing. She emphasised that sustainable success is rooted in clarity, balance, and inner stability, encouraging participants to cultivate mindful practices in both professional and personal life.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bijay Kumar Mohanty encouraged women employees to pursue excellence with confidence and cited inspiring examples of women leaders who have made remarkable contributions in diverse fields.
The celebration also included an open interaction session, where spouses of employees had the opportunity to engage with the CMD and share perspectives.
This marked the fourth consecutive year of IREDA’s organisation-wide International Women’s Day celebrations, with active participation from both women and men employees. The event reflected the organisation’s continued commitment to promoting workplace equality, diversity, and inclusion, while recognising the growing role of women in advancing India’s renewable energy and sustainability goals.
