Gurugram, Mar 5: The fifth edition of the Intellion Futsal League concluded at Intellion Park Gurgaon, marking its largest multi-city footprint to date across Gurgaon and Chennai. Building on the strong momentum of the Chennai leg with a spectator turnout of over 5000+ people, the event concluded at Intellion Park Gurgaon, marking its largest multi-city footprint to date across Gurgaon and Chennai recording over 850+ participants and 30,000+ people in attendance. Hosted by Intellion Offices by Tata Realty , the league has evolved from a 12-team, single-city tournament into a structured corporate sports platform featuring over 100 teams.
In Gurgaon alone, over 34 tenant corporate teams participated, representing nearly 80% of active occupiers, making it the most impactful tenant engagement initiative at the asset this year. Season 5 recorded a 55% increase in participation over Season IV, with 185 matches played and 530 goals scored across Chennai and Gurugram. Dunnhumby won the men’s title, while CBRE led the women’s category at Intellion Park, Gurgaon.
Beyond competition, the league positioned sport as an enabler of workplace wellness. In a high-intensity corporate environment, IFL created opportunities for professionals to reconnect with fitness, revive sporting interests, and engage beyond formal work settings.
Commenting on the league’s growth and purpose, Mr. Ritesh Sachdev, Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial Leasing, Asset Management, Sustainability & CSR, Tata Realty and Infrastructure Ltd., said:
“The Intellion Futsal League has evolved into far more than a sporting event. It reflects our philosophy of community-building across our assets, bringing people together through shared experiences while remaining conscious of our social and environmental responsibilities. Over the years, we have seen consistent growth in team participation, deepening occupier engagement across our campuses and contributing to sustained occupancy levels. Initiatives like this also enhance the overall corporate ecosystem, strengthening relationships not only with existing tenants but also with prospective occupiers. Intellion League Season V reaffirms our belief that sport is a powerful platform for inclusion, engagement, and meaningful impact.”
Anchored in the philosophy of ‘Play for Good,’ Season 5 integrated purpose both on and off the field. The league featured both men’s and women’s teams, reinforcing inclusivity in corporate sports. Extending its community outreach, football kits were pledged for donation for every 10 goals scored during the season. A total of 60 kits were donated.
In line with Intellion’s long-standing ESG-driven approach to responsible real estate, the league was designed to minimise its environmental impact. Jerseys and shorts worn during the league were made from recycled PET bottles, sustainable fabric branding replaced plastic flex across venues, and single-use plastic was reduced through shared hydration stations. Matches were powered using green gensets, while digital-first initiatives such as paperless certificates and a centralised digital photo library helped minimise material waste.
Cumulatively across Chennai and Gurgaon, Season 5 delivered its largest multi-city footprint to date, positioning the Intellion Futsal League as one of India’s most structured corporate sports platforms within commercial real estate.
Earlier this month, the Chennai leg of Intellion Futsal League Season V was held at Intellion Park Chennai from 11–13 February, drawing participation from over 100+ tenant corporate teams across the campus. The tournament saw Citigroup clinch the men’s title, while Taj Wellington Mews secured the women’s championship. Across 124 matches, a total of 365 goals were scored, translating into the donation of 36 football kits under the ‘Play for Good’ initiative—further extending the league’s social impact beyond the field.
Beyond trophies and score lines, Intellion Futsal League Season V reinforced its core objective, using sports as a catalyst to promote well-being, strengthen professional networks, and create positive social and environmental outcomes. As the league continues to grow across cities, its legacy is increasingly defined not just by competition, but by the impact it delivers beyond the field.
