Indian Cricket Team Meets PM Modi After T20 World Cup Victory

04/07/2024- The Indian cricket team, led by captain Rohit Sharma, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence in Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi, today. During the hour-long meeting, PM Modi congratulated the team on their T20 World Cup triumph.

The World Cup-winning team arrived at the Prime Minister’s residence at 11 am IST, having received a warm welcome at the ITC Maurya Hotel earlier. Captain Rohit Sharma, coach Rahul Dravid, and star player Virat Kohli were seen cutting a special cake prepared by the hotel chef.

PM Modi encouraged the team to continue their winning streak, expressing confidence that their victory in Barbados would inspire them to perform well in future tournaments.

After the meeting, the team departed for the New Delhi airport to head to Mumbai, where they will participate in an open-top bus parade to celebrate their victory.
