India, January 2025 – The International Management Institute Bhubaneswar (IMI Bhubaneswar), in collaboration with EGADE Business School Mexico, successfully organised the 10th International Conference on Global Business Environment. Themed “International Business Diplomacy, Global Trade, and Economic Development in Developing Countries,” the conference served as a critical platform for discourse on contemporary global challenges and opportunities.
The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including Mr. Krishan Mishra, CEO, FPSB India, Prof. Pratap Chandra Biswal, Director, IMI Bhubaneswar, Prof. Rajagopal from EGADE Business School, Mexico, and Prof. Srikanta Patnaik, Director, IIMT Bhubaneswar, alongside esteemed faculty members.
The conference brought together faculty, researchers, and students from renowned institutions worldwide, such as EGADE Business School, Universidad Anahuac, Universidad Panamericana, Christ University (Bangalore), IMI New Delhi, and St. John’s College (Agra). Across nine insightful technical sessions and a specialised workshop on “Improving Skills in Writing and Publishing Research Work,” participants engaged with key topics and advanced their understanding of global business dynamics.
In his inaugural address, Prof. Pratap Chandra Biswal underscored the importance of addressing global challenges like political shifts in major economies and the growing impact of AI on development.
Reflecting on the conference’s significance, Prof. Biswal stated, “This conference provided an invaluable platform for international collaboration, addressing critical challenges in global trade, sustainability, and economic development. The role of AI in shaping future economies, particularly for developing nations, is a pivotal takeaway from the discussions.”
Shri Krishan Mishra, during his keynote speech, advocated for a balanced People, Society, and Environment (PSE) approach to foster inclusive growth and resolve pressing societal and environmental issues. Prof. Rajagopal highlighted the complex interplay of sustainability, labour, and capital, particularly in developing nations, while Prof. Patnaik emphasized the transformative potential of AI in these regions.
A key highlight of the event was the launch of the 9th Global Business Environment anthology, titled Corporate Democracy, Open Innovation, and Growth in Developing Economies. Published by Palgrave Macmillan, this Scopus-indexed collection showcases peer-reviewed research on critical global business issues.
The 10th edition of the International Conference on Global Business Environment marked another milestone in fostering meaningful dialogues and forging global partnerships to tackle emerging global economic and societal challenges.
