HCG Cancer Centre Kolkata and Decathlon Host Festival Run 2024 for Breast Cancer Awareness

Kolkata, 7th October: In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, HCG Cancer Centre Kolkata, in partnership with Decathlon, organized the Festival Run 2024 to promote breast cancer awareness and highlight the importance of early detection. The event, which commenced and concluded at Decathlon, Salt Lake, Sector V, was flagged off by Debashis Sen, Former IAS officer, CMD of Hidco and Founder Director & CEO of New Bengal Consulting, alongside Dr. Amarjeet Singh, Chief Operating Officer of HCG Cancer Centre Kolkata. Covering a distance of 5 km, the run saw over 1,000 plus enthusiastic participants, including healthcare professionals, HCG staff, and members of the community.

The run was followed by an energetic flash mob, with participants dressed in costumes inspired by Michael Jackson’s iconic song “Dangerous.” The performance brought a vibrant twist to traditional awareness campaigns, as dancers held placards promoting breast cancer awareness, echoing the powerful message to “Beat It” through early screening and prevention.
