FTCCI President’s Cup 2024, an industry Cricket Tournament begins

Hyderabad, December 17, 2024- The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) embarked on a new initiative ‘FTCCI President’s Cup 2024, an industry cricket tournament.

The three-day, Dec 16 to 18, Industry Cricket Tournament began today at S2 Sports Infinity Cricket Arena at Yenkapally, near Moinabad in the city outskirts. Six teams are participating in it. They are Sudhakar PVC Products led by its captain Karingula Mahesh, Daifuku Intralogistics by Sandeep Chakraborty, Macro Media Digital Imaging by T. Ashok, Mahindra and Mahindra by Prashanth K, Shiva Marketing Company by Rajeev, and ProArch IT Solutions by Tejo Kumar Bantu.

The Tournament was inaugurated by Mr Suresh Singhal, President of FTCCI, Padmasri Shri Y. Venkateshwar Rao, a known name in organic farming and Mr R. Srikanth Reddy, Sub-Inspector of Chevella Police Station.

The inaugural match was held between Macro Media Digital Imaging and Daifuku Intralogistics. This was followed by one more match between Mahindra and Mahindra versus Sudhakar PVC Products

In the first match, Macro Media won the toss and elected field first. Daifuku Marvels scored 130 runs losing 9 wickets. In a reply, Macro Media made 132 runs for the loss of six wickets in 14.2 overs. Macromedia Digital won by 4 wickets. Balraj B of the Macromedia team was adjudged the player of the Match for taking wickets in three overs giving just 13 runs.

In another match held between Sudhakar PVC Products vs Mahindra and Mahindra, the latter recorded a very comfortable victory by reaching the target of 86 runs by the Sudhakar PVC Products team. Mahindra and Mahindra team won the match in 9.4 overs and 7 wickets. Bhargava of Mahindra and Mahindra emerged as the Player of the Match for making 42 runs off 29 balls.

It is a Round Robin League cricket tournament that will be held for three days till 18th December. Six teams comprising 11 players compete with each other team. Each team will play two matches and it will be 15 in each side’s tournament. The winners will walk away with prizes. The finals will be held on the 18th, which will be graced by Mohammad Azharuddin, a former Indian Captain.
