01/07/2024- Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja announced his retirement from T20 internationals on Sunday, following the recent retirements of star batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. This announcement comes just a day after India secured their second T20 World Cup title with a thrilling seven-run victory over South Africa in Barbados.
Jadeja, known as one of the world’s finest fielders, confirmed he will continue to play ODIs and Tests. Making his T20I debut against Sri Lanka in 2009, Jadeja played 74 matches, scoring 515 runs and taking 54 wickets. His retirement, announced via Instagram, marks the end of an era in Indian cricket.
With Kohli, Rohit, and now Jadeja stepping away from T20 internationals, Indian cricket bids farewell to three of its stalwarts who have significantly contributed to the team’s success over the years.
