EKKE launches as a digital-first discovery platform dedicated to contemporary Indian design, bringing together an intentionally curated selection of homegrown brands across fashion, living, and lifestyle. Positioned at the intersection of culture and modernity, EKKE offers a refined lens on how India dresses, lives, and expresses itself .

EKKE Launches a Curated Platform Exclusively for Homegrown Indian Design Voices

In a landscape driven by speed, trends, and excess choice, EKKE takes a more intentional approach. The platform is built around curation as a point of view, presenting design that is thoughtful, emotionally resonant, and made to endure. Rather than separating categories, EKKE curates fashion, jewellery, and home as part of one experience, reflecting how contemporary Indian design naturally overlaps.

The launch is accompanied by a visual campaign titled The Timekeepers, conceived as an extension of EKKE’s curatorial philosophy. Set within an abandoned industrial mill it explores time as suspended rather than linear. Removed from function, the space becomes a neutral field where memory, presence, and transition coexist. The silhouettes operate within this same in-between state rooted in Indian craft practices and shaped through contemporary forms, resisting clear temporal placement. Objects hold meaning, forming connections to design that resonates across moments rather than trends.

Every experience within the EKKE universe exists in layers both nostalgic and new, always evolving, yet always connected.

The launch edit brings together a wide-ranging yet cohesive roster of 100+ Indian designers and studios, spanning globally recognised design voices such as Saaksha & Kinni, Khanijo, AKHL Studios, Doodlage, Huemn, Bloni, Anurag Gupta and Valliyan ; culturally influential contemporary labels including ATBW, Bodements, Saphed, Behno, Khara Kapas, The Open Form, Ismail Plumber, 2112 Saldon, GUNDI Studios, Jitender Sandhu, Kavith Sainani, and Tiger Marron; as well as design-led lifestyle studios such as Material Immaterial, Collect Klove and Arjun Rathi.

Each brand on EKKE is selected for its clarity of design language, material intelligence, and cultural relevance. From textile-led fashion and experimental silhouettes to contemporary jewellery and home objects, the platform reflects a new generation of Indian creativity that is rooted in craft yet globally attuned.

“Indian design is at a cultural turning point. It no longer needs validation through imitation or borrowed trends; it carries its own confidence today,” says co-founder Asmita Mehta. “There is a new generation of makers who are deeply rooted in craft yet unafraid to reinterpret it. What this moment requires is space – space to be seen, felt, and discovered on its own terms. EKKE was created to hold that space and allow Indian design to speak with quiet confidence.”

Co-founder Siddh Mehta adds,

“We saw a clear gap between the richness of Indian design talent and how it is presented and discovered online. At the same time, the Indian customer has evolved – they are more design-aware, globally exposed, and seeking products that reflect both quality and identity. EKKE is about bridging that gap through intentional curation, bringing together designers who prioritise form, material, and longevity, and building a platform for approachable Indian luxury that is globally relevant and thoughtfully presented.”

With its launch, EKKE positions itself as more than a marketplace. It emerges as a cultural destination for thoughtful living, offering a new way to engage with Indian design that is contemporary, confident, and globally relevant.
