East Coast Railway Announces Special Trains for Puri

16/07/2024- The East Coast Railway announced on Monday, July 15, that it will operate special trains this month for two significant rituals at the Lord Jagannath temple in Puri. To facilitate passenger travel for these events, Indian Railways will run 43 special trains for the Sunabhesa ritual and 33 special trains for the Adharapana ritual.

In addition to the regular services to and from Puri, these special trains will operate on July 17 from various locations including Paradeep, Angul, Bhadrak, Junagarh Road, Khurda Road, Daspalla, Sompeta, Palasa, Kendujhargarh, Gunupur, Jagadalpur, Sonepur, and Sambalpur for the Sunabhesa ritual.

To manage the increased passenger volume, East Coast Railway will also run special trains from Puri to Bhadrak, Paradeep, Angul, Palasa, Kendujhargarh, Daspalla, and Brahmapur on July 19.
