Delhi,  April 2: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the situation of farmers affected by unseasonal rainfall in several districts of the state on Wednesday. He sought detailed reports from District Magistrates regarding the difficulties being faced by farmers due to the untimely rain.

Directing officials to remain alert, the Chief Minister emphasized that farmers affected by adverse weather must not face hardship and that their welfare remains a top priority for the government. He instructed officials to assess crop damage, compile complete data, and ensure that relief is provided at the earliest.

CM Yogi directed that the revenue and agriculture departments, along with insurance companies, should conduct an immediate joint survey of crop damage and submit reports to facilitate timely compensation.

He stated that the government stands firmly with the people in every disaster. Referring to recent rainfall-related losses, he noted that compensation is already being provided and directed that fresh damage caused by the latest rainfall be assessed promptly.

The Chief Minister instructed officials to act with sensitivity and ensure that farmers do not face any inconvenience. He directed all District Magistrates to remain present in the field, assess the ground situation, and carry out a realistic evaluation of crop losses in affected areas.

He also instructed the Principal Secretary Agriculture and the Relief Commissioner to maintain direct coordination with field officials and ensure timely submission of all relevant information to expedite relief efforts.

Furthermore, CM Yogi directed that the compensation process should begin immediately after the assessment is completed and that payments must be made in a time-bound manner to ensure quick relief to affected farmers.
