Jaipur: ARCH College of Design and Business has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with four leading industries under Impact-Focused Entrepreneurship (IFE) program. The initiative is part of the Erasmus+ Co-Life project, a flagship program of the European Union aimed at promoting innovation, education, and socio-economic development.
ARCH College has signed MoUs with prominent industry players including Jaipur Rugs, Jaipur Block, Kalpana Handmade Paper, and Neerja Pottery to implement a curriculum that integrates design, innovation, and sustainability. The collaboration emphasizes real-world learning, preparing students to become socially responsible entrepreneurs who can contribute meaningfully to society and the environment.
The MoU signing event witnessed the presence of key industry leaders, including N K Chaudhary, Founder of Jaipur Rugs; Leela Bordia of Neerja Pottery; Raj Kanwar, MD of Jaipur Block; and Trilok Saini and Dilip Baidh of Kalpana Handmade Paper. EPCH President and Dilip Industries Founder, Dilip Baidh, also attended the event. International and national delegates from the World Craft Council’s Asia-Pacific Region, visiting Jaipur for a handicrafts event, also marked their presence, underscoring the initiative’s global relevance.

The Erasmus+ program, a European Union initiative, promotes international cooperation in education, training, youth, and sports, encouraging innovation and social development. Under this project, Arch College of Design and Business collaborates with eight higher education institutions, including prestigious European universities such as Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Finland), Aarhus University (Denmark), and Thomas More University (Belgium). Indian institutions participating include the Indian School of Development Management (ISDM), Goa Institute of Management (GIM), and Ecole Intuit Lab (Mumbai).
The partnership aims to develop an advanced course on impact-focused entrepreneurship, equipping students with skills to address pressing social and environmental challenges. The program will enhance synergy between academia and industry, ensuring students gain practical exposure to real-world business dynamics.
ARCH College has been at the forefront of promoting creative entrepreneurship through initiatives such as its Design Business Incubator (HubIn). The incubator supports students in developing innovative, design-led business models focused on sustainability and societal impact. Through its involvement in projects like Co-Life, Arch College continues to champion the integration of design, education, and entrepreneurship to build a sustainable and prosperous future.
