04/07/2024- Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding celebrations have officially commenced. On Wednesday, the couple, along with their families, kicked off their festivities with the traditional Mameru ceremony at their home, Antilia, in Mumbai. This intimate gathering included close family members and friends.
Videos from the event have surfaced, showing bride-to-be Radhika Merchant in high spirits, her joy evident as the big day approaches. A notable clip captures the couple making a grand entrance on an elevated platform, warmly welcomed by their families. Radhika was seen happily dancing, while Anant carried Isha’s daughter, Aadiya.
Mukesh and Nita Ambani were seen beaming as they celebrated alongside their children. Anant’s older siblings, Akash and Isha Ambani, were also present, adding to the joyous atmosphere.
The Mameru ceremony, a Gujarati tradition, involves the bride’s maternal uncle visiting with gifts such as sweets, jewellery, and sarees. Nita Ambani’s family, including her mother Purnima Dalal and sister Mamata Dalal, joined the celebration, blessing the couple with presents and sweets. Anant’s uncles and their families also participated, bestowing traditional gifts on the soon-to-be-married couple.
