Former MP and her son, Tathagat Satpathy, CEO of Dhartiri Newspaper, along with several civil society organizations and city residents, garlanded her statue near Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar to honour her memory. Recently biography titled “Nandini Satpathy: The Iron Lady of Odisha,” authored by journalist Pallavi Rebbapragada, was released at Bakul Library.
Born on June 9, 1931, in Pithapur, Cuttack, Nandini Satpathy was the first woman CM of Odisha and the second woman Chief Minister in India.
