4th Edition Of Techno Olympica Knights To Conclude With Grand Celebration

Kolkata, 17th December, 2024: Techno India Group, the largest private education group in Eastern India, is set to conclude the highly anticipated 4th edition of Techno Olympica Knights, a spectacular six-day sporting event. The grand closing ceremony will be graced by the Chief Guest, Mr Yogesh Kathuniya, renowned Indian Paralympic athlete, former Arjuna Awardee and medalist, Shri Hansi Premjit Sen, Referee & Judge World Karate Federation & Asian Karate Federation, President Karate Association of, Bengal, along with Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group.

“This year, Techno Olympica Knights witnessed the participation of over 1,900 students from more than 105 schools across West Bengal, with more than 900 of them being girls. This impressive participation highlights the growing enthusiasm among young female athletes and their commitment to excelling in sports, marking a significant step towards gender inclusivity and empowerment in the field.”

Smt. Diya Roy, a gold and silver medalist at the 11th Commonwealth Karate Championship in Durban, South Africa, and a student of Techno India Group Public School, TIGPS, Konnagar, trained under Shri Hansi Premjit Sen, will inspire the young athletes with her remarkable journey of resilience and determination.

The event included a wide array of competitive sports, showcasing the talent, discipline, and sportsmanship of the students. The closing ceremony promises to be an exciting celebration of athleticism, with engaging performances and a focus on holistic health.

We are especially honoured to have Yogesh Kathuniya and Hanshi Premjit Sen, who has also been a guiding force for my student Diya Roy of TIGPS Konnagar, enabling her to win both Gold and Silver at the 11th Commonwealth Karate Championship held in Durban, South Africa, this yearwith us to grace the closing ceremony, whose story of perseverance in the face of adversity is an inspiration to all. This year, we are particularly proud to see the significant increase in the participation of young girls, showcasing their dedication and skills across various sports. Techno Olympica Knights aims to foster values such as self-confidence, teamwork, and leadership, encouraging the youth to be physically and mentally resilient. The participating schools include prominent institutions such as the Techno India Group Public Schools (TIGPS) across various locations, such as Garia, Ariadaha, Konnagar, and Balurghat, along with Kanchrapara English Medium School, Apeejay Schools in Park Street and Salt Lake, Army Public School Kolkata, Assembly Of Christ School, and Athlead School International. Silver Point School, Andrew High School (HS) are a few educational institutions in the region.
