Visitors at Kolkata Book Fair 2025 to Benefit from AI-Driven Eye Care by Disha Eye Hospitals

Kolkata, 6th February 2025: Disha Eye Hospitals, the largest and most advanced eye care chain in Eastern India has become the first-ever eye hospital in West Bengal to participate In the recently started 48th International Kolkata Book Fair. The aim is to highlight the importance of a good vision for a pleasurable reading and the connection between eye health and overall well-being.

At the Book Fair Disha Eye Hospitals is organising a Voluntary AI based diabetic retinopathy screening for the bibliophiles and an eye donation awareness campaign to promote the necessity of Cornea Donation and how it can save millions of lives from losing their precious vision.

1. About AI Driven Diabetic Retinopathy Screening: Disha Eye Hospitals is offering free AI influenced Diabetic Retinopathy Screening at the IKBF 2025. This initiative addresses the growing concern of diabetes-related eye complications and promotes early detection for effective management.

2. About Eye Donation Awareness Campaign: On the ground of such a grand affair, Disha Eye Hospitals has come up with another impressive philanthropic initiative for the commoners. Being the largest Cornea collection organization, Disha Eye Hospitals on behalf of their own the 3rd largest Eye Bank Unit in Eastern India, Prova Eye Bank, is campaigning to raise concern and necessity for Eye Donation.

As per the officials of the organization, pledging and later on donating the Cornea gives a vision to two living bodies. To contribute more to this noble task young generations have been majorly taken under the limelight who will empower the minds of the prospective donors to proceed and donate for the welfare of visually challenged persons.

Till today unlimited queries have been made and 150 people have willingly submitted Eye Donation Pledge Forms. Officials from the Police and Fire department as well as the Bomb Squad unit are given special attention in honour of their tireless effort and unending dedication towards the society.
