Mumbai, Mar 19: Moonot Healthcare Foundation successfully concluded two parallel academic programs. The conferences emerged as a premier platform for advancing knowledge and skills in foot and ankle care, bringing together leading orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and healthcare professionals from across India and abroad.

This year’s edition was unique as it hosted two parallel conferences—the 2nd edition of Mumbai Foot & Ankle Conference 2026 dedicated to orthopaedic surgeons and the 1st ever Mumbai Foot & Ankle Rehabilitation Conference 2026 designed specifically for physiotherapists. The Mumbai Foot & Ankle Rehabilitation Conference 2026 created history by hosting the first-ever cadaveric foot and ankle workshop of its kind, marking a landmark moment in the evolution of physiotherapy education and interdisciplinary learning.
Adding to the academic significance, Dr. Pradeep Moonot, Organising President of the conference curated a coffee table book ‘The Arch’ comprising research paper compilations by established surgeons, which was formally released by Mr. Navneet Moonot, MD & CEO, HDFC AMC, who also addressed the gathering and appreciated the initiative.
The event witnessed participation from over 250 delegates and 50 distinguished speakers, including nationally and internationally renowned experts, opinion leaders, and prominent physiotherapists associated with the Indian Cricket Team and other elite sports institutions.
This highly specialized workshop offered hands-on training in both basic and advanced techniques in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Advanced Trauma Management in foot and ankle conditions. Conducted in association with MGM Medical College, the Indian Foot and Ankle Society, and the Bombay Orthopedic Society, the workshop delivered an immersive, first-of-its-kind learning experience that effectively bridged the gap between surgical intervention and rehabilitation practices.
Dr. Pradeep Moonot, Organising President of the conference, said,
“The vision behind hosting dual conferences was to create a truly integrated learning platform for both surgeons and physiotherapists, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to foot and ankle care. The overwhelming response from delegates and the participation of globally respected faculty members reaffirm the growing importance of sub-specialization in this field. The cadaveric workshop, in particular, was a landmark initiative, especially for physiotherapists, as it provided them with a rare opportunity to understand surgical anatomy and techniques first-hand. Additionally, the release of the coffee table book reflects our commitment to academic excellence and knowledge dissemination within the medical community.”
Other major highlights of the conferences included an extensive scientific program, comprising expert-led lectures, panel discussions, and case-based deliberations. Eminent national and international faculty shared insights on the latest advancements in foot and ankle surgery, innovative treatment modalities, sports injury management, deformity correction, and rehabilitation protocols. The presence of globally recognized experts ensured a rich exchange of ideas, enabling participants to stay abreast of cutting-edge developments and best practices in the field.
Dr. Shilpa Moonot, Organising Secretary of the conference, added,
“This conference has successfully created a dynamic environment for learning, collaboration, and innovation. The inclusion of the Rehabilitation Conference alongside the surgical conference highlights the critical role physiotherapists play in ensuring optimal patient outcomes. We witnessed insightful discussions, evidence-based learning, and meaningful interactions among experts from diverse backgrounds. The participation of physiotherapists associated with elite sports teams further enriched the sessions with real-world perspectives. Such initiatives are essential to building a cohesive ecosystem that prioritizes patient-centric care and continuous professional development.”
With strong academic content, hands-on training, and participation from leading experts across disciplines, the Mumbai Foot & Ankle Conference 2026 has firmly established itself as a significant milestone in the field of foot and ankle medicine. The successful conclusion of both conferences highlights the entire organising team, sponsors, faculty’s commitment to fostering innovation, collaboration, and excellence in patient care, setting a new benchmark for future editions.
