Gujarat is setting new benchmarks in healthcare and infrastructure with the recent launch of 14 state-of-the-art MRI machines and the inauguration of 31 development projects in Kheda district, together worth over Rs 348 crore. These initiatives are poised to strengthen healthcare access, improve public services, and accelerate the region’s overall growth.
Advanced Healthcare Facilities for All
The newly introduced MRI machines, equipped with 1.5 Tesla technology, represent a major step forward in medical diagnostics. Valued at a total of Rs 178.54 crore, these units will be installed across GMERS and Civil Hospitals in key locations, including Dharpur, Vadnagar, Valsad, Junagadh, Navsari, Rajpipla, Godhra, Porbandar, Morbi, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Jamnagar, and Visnagar.
With these machines, patients can expect faster and more accurate diagnostic services, significantly improving the quality of healthcare in the state. The expansion ensures that residents across urban and rural areas can access advanced medical facilities without the need for long-distance travel.
Driving Regional Development in Kheda
Alongside healthcare advancements, the government inaugurated 31 projects in Kheda, coinciding with the establishment of the new Fagvel taluka. Of these, 13 projects worth over Rs 234 crore were inaugurated, while 18 projects valued at more than Rs 113 crore had their foundation stones laid.
The development initiatives cover a broad spectrum of public services:
-
Irrigation and water supply projects to enhance agriculture and drinking water access
-
Roads and buildings to improve connectivity and infrastructure
-
Health services to strengthen community wellbeing
-
Animal husbandry and rural development projects to support livelihoods
The projects are part of the Mukhyamantri Gramotthan Yojana, which brings city-level facilities to villages lacking municipal status. The scheme will gradually expand to larger villages with populations exceeding 10,000, offering modern administrative and civic services to residents.
Towards a Healthier, Progressive Gujarat
These initiatives reflect Gujarat’s commitment to inclusive growth and modern infrastructure, combining advancements in healthcare with socio-economic development. By investing in high-quality medical equipment and regional infrastructure, the state ensures that citizens enjoy better healthcare, safer communities, and improved public services.
Kheda, traditionally known for tobacco production, is now emerging as a hub of modern development, exemplifying Gujarat’s vision for a healthier, more connected, and future-ready society.
