“Prostate cancer is a silent threat to men’s health. Common symptoms are frequent urination, weak urine flow, and pelvic discomfort. However, as the cancer progresses, patients can experience blood in urine or semen, and erectile dysfunction. Prompt diagnosis through regular screenings inclusive of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests and digital rectal exams improves treatment outcomes and saves lives. Men over 50, or ones with a family history of prostate cancer, should go for regular screening every year to treat cancer before it is too late. Awareness and proactive management will prevent prostate cancer. Remember, early intervention can make all the difference in successfully treating this disease.”
