Prime Video Unveils ‘The Lalla Anthem – A Warning From Subedaar’ to Amplify Cricket Fever Ahead of Global Tournament
Mumbai, Feb 13: As the nation rallies behind Team India, Prime Video has raised the pitch with the launch of “The Lalla Anthem – A Warning From Subedaar”, a high-energy track inspired by Subedaar, its upcoming action-drama. The anthem is built around “Lalla,” one of the original songs from the film, and blends stadium fervour with cinematic intensity to capture the spirit of resilience, pride, and unshakeable resolve.

Set in the heartland of India, Subedaar follows the journey of Subedaar Arjun Maurya, played by Anil Kapoor — a man driven by discipline, honour, and an uncompromising moral code. The film explores courage in the face of adversity and the strength to confront forces that test one’s character — themes that resonate strongly during a high-stakes global sporting season.
The music video features former India cricketer Harbhajan Singh alongside Anil Kapoor and Radhikka Madan, with electrifying appearances by The Bharat Army and Shefali Bagga. Together, they channel confidence, swagger, and collective pride, creating a charged atmosphere that mirrors the anticipation of tournament play.
Composed by Rohan–Vinayak, written by Rishi Upadhyay, and powered by the commanding vocals of Vishal Dadlani, the anthem captures the pulse of the season while echoing the film’s central message: stand your ground and never back down.
Speaking about the anthem, Anil Kapoor said:
“For me, Subedaar is the story of a man who draws his strength and purpose from his deep sense of duty and the fire he carries within. ‘The Lalla Anthem – A Warning From Subedaar’ mirrors that fire. It reflects Subedaar Arjun Maurya’s mindset — composed and restrained, but utterly unyielding when it’s time to take a stand. Shooting this track was an incredible experience. With the passion of the fans and the larger-than-life atmosphere we created, it genuinely felt like stepping into a battleground of belief and pride. Here’s Team Subedaar doing our bit to cheer for Team India.”
Harbhajan Singh added:
“Being part of ‘Lalla – A Warning From Subedaar’ was a truly special experience. Working with Anil Kapoor felt like working with an institution — his energy and charisma lift everyone around him. The beat is powerful — you feel it thump in your chest. The lyrics perfectly match the excitement of the cricket fever, with confidence, pride, and fire in every line. Wishing both Team India and Team Subedaar all the very best.”
Team Bharat Army shared:
“Cricket for us is about passion, belief, and backing the team through every high and low. Being part of ‘Lalla – A Warning From Subedaar’ felt natural because the song carries that same fire and pride. It celebrates the spirit of standing together — something both cricket and the film strongly represent.”
Directed by Suresh Triveni, known for acclaimed titles such as Tumhari Sulu and Jalsa, Subedaar is produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor, and Suresh Triveni. An Opening Image Films production in association with Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network (AKFCN), the gritty and emotionally charged action-drama also stars Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Rawal, Faisal Malik, and Mona Singh in pivotal roles.
Subedaar will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on March 5, streaming in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu across India and in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
With “The Lalla Anthem – A Warning From Subedaar,” Prime Video fuses cricket fever with cinematic storytelling — delivering a rousing tribute to courage, pride, and the unbreakable spirit of standing tall.
