Prabhu Deva Sets the Stage on Fire at RECHARGE 2026 Day 2 with a Rare On-Stage Collaboration

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Mar 28:  Rajalakshmi Engineering College at Thandalam, Chennai – Tamil Nadu, witnessed another electrifying evening as RECHARGE 2026 continued its cultural extravaganza with an unforgettable Day 2. Headlined by legendary dance icon Prabhu Deva, the second day featured a spectacular lineup including Saanvee Meghana, Nikki Galrani, Sayyeshaa, Shriya Saran, Anukeerthi Vyas, Samyuktha Shan, and Yashika Anand. A unique and heartwarming highlight of the evening saw faculty members sharing the stage with Prabhu Deva for a special dance performance, alongside the college’s dance team “Rugged”—a group of students personally mentored and trained by him over the past month—creating a powerful showcase of talent, collaboration, and mentorship.

Following the phenomenal success of Day 1, which witnessed a record footfall of over 18,000 students, RECHARGE 2026 had already set a historic benchmark in college culturals. The opening day was marked by a groundbreaking performance by global music maestro A. R. Rahman, making it the first time he performed live on a college campus. The evening also featured stellar performances by Shweta Mohan, Rakshita Suresh, Amrutha Suresh, Nakul Abhyankar, Blaaze, Haricharan, Aditya R K, Nitesh Aher, and A. R. Ameen, collectively creating an unforgettable musical experience that energized the massive audience.

RECHARGE 2026 continues to stand as a vibrant platform celebrating the convergence of music, dance, and artistic expression. Designed as an immersive cultural experience, the fest brings together iconic performers and emerging talents, offering students an unparalleled opportunity to witness and participate in world-class entertainment.
