Mumbai, Apr 13: Actor and producer Jackky Bhagnani has announced the acquisition of Team Cheetahs in the World Padel League (WPL), marking a significant step in his efforts to promote and expand the sporting culture in India.

Bhagnani attended a padel event on April 11 alongside Vashu Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, celebrating his entry into the rapidly growing sport.
Speaking on the acquisition, Jackky Bhagnani said:
“To enter the World Padel League through Team Cheetahs feels like a monumental moment in my life. Padel has become one of the fastest-growing sports globally, and it brings me immense pleasure to bring it to India. I have always believed in strength, agility, and ambition, and Team Cheetahs represents these values completely. I am excited to be part of this journey.”
Team Cheetahs joins the World Padel League alongside teams such as VB Realty Hawks, as the league continues to gain traction among sports enthusiasts and investors alike.
Padel, one of the fastest-growing sports worldwide, is witnessing rising popularity in India, and Bhagnani’s investment is expected to further accelerate its growth by bringing greater visibility and engagement to the sport.
Known for his passion for fitness and sports, Jackky Bhagnani was also recognized alongside his wife Rakul Preet Singh as the Fit India Couple by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in 2025.
This strategic move reflects Bhagnani’s forward-looking vision to create new opportunities for sports enthusiasts and contribute to the growth of emerging sports in India. As Team Cheetahs embarks on this new chapter, it aims to set new benchmarks both nationally and globally within the sport.
