Bengaluru, May 3rd 2024: A team of fourth-year BA LLB students from NMIMS School of Law Bengaluru secured first place at the 3rd AUAP-JLU International Moot Court Competition, hosted by Jagran Lakecity University. The III AUAP-JLU International Moot Court Competition, 2024, was the VIII Edition of the JLU Moot Court Competition and was organized by the Faculty of Law, Jagran Lakecity University. The Moot Proposition of the Competition was based on Arbitration Law, with a special focus on the enforcement of foreign arbitral awards in India.
The competition was held from February 23rd to 25th, 2024 at the Jagran Lakecity University. The NMIMS team comprised enthusiastic students, Ankit Patlolla, Anushka Baliarsingh, and Tarun Dogne. The students got a golden opportunity to argue in front of international luminaries. They had the privilege of being judged by a 4 judge Bench in the finals, including, Justice Nahakul Subedi, Justice Supreme Court of Nepal; Justice Sanjay Dwivedi, Sitting Judge, High Court of Madhya Pradesh (Jabalpur); Mr. Parag Maini, Partner, AZB & Partners, New Delhi and Mr. Neelesh Sinha, Legal Head, Adani Digital Labs.
In addition to bagging first place, the winning team also received a cash prize of Rs. 1 Lakh.
