6th June 2024- The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the dates for the 2024 counselling process, which will include five rounds plus an additional round specifically for NIT+ systems. The pre-payment for the JoSAA seat acceptance fee starts on June 9, with the mock seat allotment display set for June 10.
Results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024, conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, will be released on June 9. Shortlisted candidates must participate in the JoSAA 2024 counselling process to secure seats at IITs, NITs, Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other government-funded technical institutes (GFTIs).
The counselling process will commence on June 10, 2024. Eligible candidates who have cleared JEE Main and JEE Advanced are required to register and fill in their choices for institutes and courses on the official website, josaa.nic.in. Two mock seat allocations will be released before the final seat allocation, allowing candidates to make informed decisions. They also have the option to withdraw or exit from the process if needed.
Previously, JoSAA counselling was jointly conducted by NIT Rourkela, but no updates have been provided for this year’s process. Last year, JoSAA conducted six rounds of counselling.

2. Click on the registration link.
3. Enter your JEE Main application number and date of birth.
4. Complete the choice-filing process and lock in your choices.
Candidates are advised to complete these steps promptly to secure their desired seats in the participating institutions.
