Noida Mar 13: A special awareness programme was organized at IMS Noida, Sector-62, to promote women’s health, hygiene, and dignity. The objective of the programme was to create awareness about menstrual hygiene, dispel social myths and misconceptions associated with menstruation, and encourage a positive approach towards women’s health and well-being.

During the programme, the Advisor of the IMS Noida, Professor (Dr.) J.K. Sharma, stated that menstrual health is not merely a health issue but also an important matter related to gender equality, equal participation in education, and human dignity. He encouraged the youth to actively spread awareness on this important subject within society.
The programme coordinator, Dr. Govind Prasad Goyal, informed that an awareness session on menstrual hygiene was conducted as part of the event. During the session, experts and faculty members shared important information with students regarding health, hygiene practices, and menstrual care. An interactive session was also held where students freely asked questions and discussed various myths and misconceptions related to menstruation.
On this occasion, Dr. Anjum Hasan, Head of Department at IMS Law College, said that even today several myths and hesitations exist in society regarding menstruation, which need to be addressed. She emphasized that educational institutions have a responsibility to create open platforms for dialogue on such issues so that students become more aware and can contribute towards bringing positive change in society.
Faculty members, students, and other members of the institution actively participated in the programme. The initiative reaffirmed IMS Noida’s commitment to promoting women’s health, awareness, and empowerment.
