Mar 05: NMIMS Indore successfully organized Technex 2026, a three-day national-level technology festival that brought together innovation, sustainability, and technical excellence on one platform. Hosted by the School of Technology, Management & Engineering (STME), the event created an energetic environment where students collaborated, competed, and presented solutions to real-world challenges.

One of the major highlights of Technex 2026 was the 36-hour Green Hackathon, centered around the theme “Innovating Today for a Greener Tomorrow.” Participants worked in teams to develop technology-driven solutions addressing key issues such as environmental protection, climate change, green finance, and sustainable development. The hackathon was conducted in multiple rounds including idea screening, development review, and final presentations, ensuring creativity, research-based thinking, and practical implementation.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Surya Prakash from Indian Institute of Technology Indore, who emphasized the importance of research-driven innovation and sustainable technological solutions. Special Guest Mr. Anshul Agarwal from Cosmo Drones highlighted the role of drone technology in environmental monitoring and sustainable practices. The event also received valuable support from Mr. Kapil Sharma from Mirae Asset Foundation, encouraging responsible innovation and green finance awareness among youth.
Apart from the hackathon, Technex 2026 featured robotics competitions such as Robowars and Robo Soccer, a UI design competition, and an exciting e-sports segment. Workshops on emerging technologies including Machine Learning, Generative AI, Blockchain, Flutter, Robotics, Agile Software Development, and programming fundamentals provided students with hands-on learning and practical exposure.
The event witnessed participation from over 400 students, making it one of the largest student-driven technology festivals at the campus. The success of Technex 2026 was strengthened by the guidance of mentors Mr. Akhilesh Rathi, Mr. Arvind Banthia, and Mr. Ajay Bankda, who played a key role in mentoring and supporting the organizing team.
Dr. Anshuman Jaswal, Director, NMIMS Indore Campus, said,
“Technex reflects our deep commitment to experiential and industry-aligned learning. Today’s industries are navigating complex challenges, from sustainability mandates and digital transformation to responsible innovation. Platforms like Technex allow students to move beyond theoretical understanding and engage directly with these real-world problems. By working on green technologies and scalable prototypes, our students are not only strengthening their technical competencies but also developing a solutions-oriented mindset that industry increasingly demands.”
Dr. Vikas Khare, Dean – STME, added,
“Technex is designed as an interdisciplinary innovation laboratory. Engineering today cannot function in isolation; it must integrate management thinking, financial viability, user experience, and sustainability frameworks. Through the Green Hackathon and technical competitions, students experience the complete innovation lifecycle — from ideation and research to execution and presentation before experts. Such exposure builds confidence, industry readiness, and ethical responsibility, which are essential attributes for future technology leaders.”
Technex 2026 once again reinforced NMIMS Indore’s position as a growing hub for technology-driven learning and innovation, while motivating young minds to contribute towards a smarter and more sustainable future.
