Hyderabad, Mar 9: Saint-Gobain India Pvt. Ltd. – Gyproc business, a leader in light and sustainable construction solutions, commissioned India’s first Near-Net Zero Gypsum Ceiling Tiles Plant in Visakhapatnam. This milestone reinforces the company’s commitment to the Make in India vision while strengthening its ability to serve the growing demand for high-performance ceiling solutions across the country.

Commissioned in December 2025, the state-of-the-art plant has an annual production capacity of 5 million square metres and will manufacture Gyprex® PVC Laminated Gypsum Ceiling Tiles. Its strategic location enables faster market access, consistent quality, and adherence to global manufacturing standards. The plant is equipped with advanced systems, including a modern dust collection system, underscoring the company’s strong focus on operational excellence, workplace safety, and environmental stewardship. Products manufactured at the facility comply with BS EN 520 and BS EN 14190 standards, ensuring superior durability and performance for commercial and institutional applications. This first Near- Net Zero Gypsum Ceiling Tiles plant is aligned with Saint-Gobain’s global sustainability roadmap of achieving Net Zero Carbon by 2050.
