Child Care Aware of Missouri’s CEO appointed to the nation’s oldest small-business advocacy organization.
(St. Louis, Mo., Sept. 20, 2024) Robin Phillips, CEO at Child Care Aware of Missouri (CCAMO), was recently named to the National Small Business Association (NSBA) Leadership Council. Phillips joins a select group of small-business advocates from across the United States who will contribute to promoting small-business interests to policymakers in Washington, D.C.
As part of the NSBA Leadership Council, Phillips will assist with tackling many critical issues facing small businesses including workforce access and training, regulatory restraint, health care costs, and how access to capital will impact small businesses. She will serve on the Health and Human Resources Committee where workforce barriers are addressed. Phillips will help inform the NSBA’s 2025 national agenda of priorities while ensuring access to child care across the country is a primary focus of the Council.
NSBA is the nation’s oldest small-business advocacy organization and operates on a nonpartisan basis. The NSBA Leadership Council focuses on providing valuable networking between small-business advocates from across the country while ensuring small businesses have representation in discussions with Congress and regulators.
Phillips has nearly 25 years of background experience in childcare systems building and nonprofit management. She is recognized as a transformational leader with deep knowledge of the barriers affecting the state’s economy and workforce participation. Phillips’s work focuses on helping communities and employers think differently about how to support working parents while positively impacting business outcomes.
“I am honored to be a part of this nonpartisan group, which is dedicated to advocating for small business at the federal level,” said Phillips. “I look forward to being an active member when it comes to influencing laws and regulations that affect both our community and our nation.”
