Kochi, Feb 23: Kerala is set to host its first-ever Comic Con edition, bringing together global icons, India’s finest creators, and an electrifying entertainment line-up closer to the fans of the city. Presented by Maruti Suzuki Arena and powered by Crunchyroll, Kochi Comic Con will take place from February 28 to March 1, 2026, at the Adlux International Convention Center, Angamaly.
Headlining the guest list is Dan Parent, an acclaimed American comic book artist and writer. Parent began his career at Archie Comics and rose to prominence with Love Showdown (1994). Parent’s creative legacy includes iconic crossovers such as Archie vs. Sharknado and Archie Meets Batman ’66, as well as co-creating the Kickstarter-funded Die Kitty Die.
Joining Parent will be nineteen of India’s most celebrated comic artists and storytellers, including Savio Mascarenhas, Tinkle’s hero-maker and Group Art Director at Amar Chitra Katha; Rajesh Nagulakonda, whose illustrations have shaped over 150 murals in Ayodhya; Vivek Goel, founder of Holy Cow Entertainment and publisher of fan favorites such as Ravanayan, The Aghori, and The Last Asuran; Abhijeet Kini, award-winning illustrator and founder of Abhijeet Kini Studios; Amrit Pal Singh, global visual artist and 3D illustrator known for Toy Faces and The Adventures of the Toy Maker; and Saumin Patel, illustrator of Agent Vinod – The Jungfrau Encounter, Bahubali – Battle of the Bold, 18 Days, and more. Reflecting the heart of India’s comic and art community, the line-up allows attendees to interact with artists, attend panel discussions, and find inspiration.
Beyond comics, Kochi Comic Con will showcase exciting performances designed to keep the energy high throughout the weekend. The guest performers will include MHR (Mohammed Hussain Rahman), music producer revolutionizing Kerala’s independent music scene by fusing Malabari-rooted, authentic hip-hop with EDM, Joker (Fazin Rasheed), a prominent voice in Malayalam hip-hop, recognized for his role in blending traditional Kerala cultural elements with modern rap, Purple Line, an alternative R&B, hip-hop, and funk duo known for groove-driven music and Geek Fruit, a comedy collective blending music, humor, and pop culture sketches.
To make your bones tickle, the lineup will feature muli-talented Indian comedian, writer, and television presenter Rohan Joshi, stand-up comedian Gautham Govindan who is known for his sharp, observational humor, and comedian Nirmal Pillai, celebrated for his engaging stage presence.
The show floor will be packed with exclusive merchandise, rare collectibles, and pop-culture apparel. Fans can immerse themselves in interactive experience zones, including the Maruti Suzuki Arena Zone for high-energy brand activations, the Crunchyroll Zone catering to the city’s massive anime community, and the NODWIN Gaming Arena, the ultimate destination for the local gaming tribe.
