NXTDIGITAL Media Group onboards veteran executive Hemlata Sharma to lead the retail digital television & broadband business

Mumbai, Mar 31: Hinduja Global Solutions’ (HGS) digital media division has announced the appointment of senior media & telecom professional Hemlata Sharma to lead the retail business, comprising satellite (HITS), cable and retail broadband. Her appointment marks a significant addition to the leadership team as NXTDIGITAL Media Group strengthens its presence across India’s rapidly evolving DTV, broadband, IPTV and OTT ecosystem.

With over 25 years of experience across media, broadcasting, and telecommunications, Sharma will lead business growth initiatives, distribution strategy, and retail partnerships for the NXTDIGITAL DTV and retail ONE Broadband brands across India. With P&L responsibility, her leadership role will focus on supporting the group’s expansion while enhancing its positioning in the competitive television and broadband market.

Prior to this appointment, Sharma was associated with Zee Media Corporation Ltd., where she served as Head – Distribution, Research & CRM. During her tenure of over a decade there, she managed nationwide distribution strategies and consumer research operations for a large portfolio of news channels. Over the course of her career, Sharma has held several senior leadership roles; including as Senior VP at TEN Sports Network, where she played a key role in the relaunch of the Ten Sports bouquet and as General Manager – Operations at Bharti Airtel, overseeing marketing and operational functions across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
