Kia India Introduces MY26 Kia Carens Clavis EV with New 6-Seater Option and Expanded Lineup

Mumbai, Mar 19: Kia has unveiled the Model Year 2026 (MY26) edition of the Kia Carens Clavis EV. The updated model introduces a 6-seater configuration with second-row captain seats, alongside the existing 7-seater option, while also expanding the lineup with new trims and refreshed design updates.

 As India’s electric vehicle ecosystem evolves, customer expectations are shifting beyond range and efficiency toward enhanced comfort, design, and practicality. Addressing these trends, Kia India has introduced GT-Line and X-Line trims for the Extended Range variant, available in both seating configurations, offering distinctive styling and improved visual appeal.

The GT-Line variants (GTX & GTX+) feature sportier design elements such as new alloy wheels, lime brake calipers, and metal pedals. Meanwhile, the X-Line variant adopts a more rugged and premium aesthetic with exclusive Dark Gun Metal and Aurora Black Pearl exterior finishes. Advanced features such as Digital Key and battery heater technology are available in GTX+ and X-Line trims. Standard Range variants now come equipped with new R16 Black High Gloss Aero Alloy Wheels.

Enhancing passenger comfort, the MY26 update introduces a 6-seater layout with second-row captain seats across multiple trims, delivering a more premium and chauffeur-driven experience. The 7-seater configuration continues to cater to larger families and group travel needs, offering flexibility and practicality.

Commenting on the launch, Atul Sood, Senior Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, said:

Powered by 99 kW and 126 kW motors delivering 255 Nm torque, the Carens Clavis EV ensures smooth performance for both city commutes and long-distance travel. It offers dual battery options—a 51.4 kWh pack with a range of up to 490 km and a 42 kWh pack with a range of up to 404 km. The vehicle also supports fast charging from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes, enhancing convenience for users.

Safety remains a priority with 18 advanced safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill Start Assist Control (HAC). Inside, the EV features a dual panoramic display, over 85 connected car features, intuitive controls, and a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, delivering a premium and connected in-cabin experience.

Kia India also continues to strengthen its EV ecosystem, offering seamless ownership through the K-Charge platform on the MyKia app, providing access to 15,000+ charging points nationwide, real-time charger availability, route planning, and integrated payment options. The network is supported by 100+ dealerships with DC fast chargers and 267+ EV-ready workshops across the country.

Available in both 6- and 7-seater configurations, the MY26 Carens Clavis EV is offered in a range of color options, including Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Imperial Blue, Ivory Silver Matte, and the new Dark Gun Metal.
