inKind and Made In Cookware Fire Up Partnership to Equip Restaurants With Premium Cookware While Conserving Cash Flow

Austin, TEXAS – August 6, 2024 – inKind, the restaurant finance marketplace innovator, proudly announces its partnership with Austin-based Made In Cookware (Made In), the best-in-class cookware brand used by award-winning chefs and in the kitchens of home cooks across the world. Participating restaurants can now purchase Made In Cookware directly from the brand using inKind’s funding, providing substantial benefits to operators, especially when compared with more traditional capital sources like bank loans or equity investment.

“We’re so excited to partner with Made In to expand the shared mission of both companies: to support restaurant success. At inKind, we aim to enhance overall value propositions for our restaurant operators and partners, financially and operationally,” said Johann Moonesinghe, co-founder and CEO of inKind. “This partnership underscores our commitment to the industry and supports scaling efforts, ensuring our partners have the necessary tools and financial backing, while helping them save the cash they need to expand efficiently.”

As part of the partnership, qualifying Made In restaurant clients may apply inKind funding toward future Made In orders as their restaurant operations expand, creating a streamlined process where obtaining funding and purchasing top-tier kitchen equipment is integrated, saving both time and resources, and allowing restaurants and operators to save money, something all restaurants benefit from.

“Our high performing cookware paired with inKind’s financial solutions really address a critical need in the restaurant industry, especially right now,” says co-founder and president of Made In, Jake Kalick. “We’ve been able to share our products in more than 2,000 restaurants, and with this partnership, we’re excited to expand on that number and bring high performing cookware to many more chefs who deserve to use it, all while helping them save funds.”

Recently opened Denver-based restaurant, Xiquita, is the first restaurant to seize this opportunity. Chef and owner of Aurora’s Create Kitchen & Bar and Park Hill’s Lucina Eatery & Bar, Chef Erasmo Casiano, brings a Mexico City-style experience rooted in Mexico’s millennia-old history of nixtamalization and masa to guests at Xiquita with menu influences from Sayulita, Oaxaca, and Mérida in the southeastern state of Yucatán.

Chef Erasmo Casiano expressed his excitement for the partnership: “Made In Cookware has revolutionized our kitchen operations with its unmatched performance and durability, elevating my dishes to the next level. Without inKind, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to use such high-caliber cookware. Being able to deliver unforgettable food and experiences to my customers, while enhancing every aspect of my business in an affordable and sustainable way, is a dream come true.”
