Hyderabad, Feb 19th: Radha TMT has launched a unique initiative, “Creators of Tomorrow – Buildathon 2026,” a first-of-its-kind Civil Engineering Innovation Platform exclusively for civil engineering students across Telangana. With participation from over 30 leading engineering colleges, the competition has reached its most exciting stage. The Grand Finale will be held on February 21, 2026, at Shilpakala Vedika, Hyderabad.

Conceptualised to celebrate young engineering talent and foster innovation, the initiative recognises that civil engineering forms the backbone of a nation’s development. Civil engineers design and build essential infrastructure—roads, bridges, dams, buildings, and water systems—without which trade, water security, public health, and economic growth cannot thrive. Infrastructure is not a luxury; it is fundamental to national stability and progress. In this context, Radha TMT launched the Buildathon to inspire the next generation of nation-builders.
Centred on the theme “Green & Sustainable Construction for a Greener Future,” the competition aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world industry requirements. Students were encouraged to propose innovative, scalable, and practical engineering solutions addressing modern infrastructure challenges.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 30 premier engineering colleges across Telangana. The multi-stage selection process began with 90-second idea pitches at the college level, followed by live online technical presentations by shortlisted teams. Submissions were evaluated by industry experts for technical soundness, innovation, scalability, and practical relevance. After rigorous assessment, the Top 7 finalist teams have been selected to present their working models at the Grand Finale.
The event promises to be a dynamic confluence of students, academicians, government officials, and industry leaders. The programme will feature live presentations by the finalist teams, keynote addresses by distinguished experts, interactive knowledge sessions, cultural performances, and an awards and felicitation ceremony.
The competition offers cash prizes worth over ₹5,00,000, along with internship opportunities, industry-recognised certifications, factory visits, ISO training exposure, and direct interaction with leading construction professionals.
