Eleanor 1.0 Fashion for Fundraising with Shravan Kummar and Ready.Set.Go! initiative, co-presented with Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), was a celebration of art & culture, dedicated to the state of Telangana’s history and vibrance. The event was conducted at HICC, the world-class convention centre beside HITEC City, on Tuesday, 23rd July 2024. The proceeds from the event are being used for strategic intervention at Zilla Parishad schools to aid children at risk.
The event was one-of-its-kind, as it presented a fashion show in a unique format, alongside energetic music, dance, a silent auction of children’s art & crafts, and even a theatre performance put together by children from the beneficiary school. Renowned fashion designer Shravan Kummar presented an exclusive collection in line with the theme of the evening, a kaleidoscope of Indian fashion, reflecting upon clothing trends in India set around the British rule, followed by the Swadeshi movement, then the resplendent elegance of regal circles, and finally culminating with the modern Indian.
The ramp sprung to life with the glamorous presence of models alongside numerous stars from the region’s leading movie industries, including Samyuktha Menon, Faria Abdullah, Miss India World 2023 Nandini Gupta, Simran Choudhary, Yukti Thareja, SaanveMegghana, Shivathmika Rajsekhar, Pavani Karanam, Deepthi Varma, Bharath Garlapati, Rahul Vijay, and others – together helping shine a spotlight on the importance of arts in aiding the overall development of children.
Reflecting on the evening’s success, Sravanthi Kandadi of Eleanor International, the organizer of the fundraiser, commented, “Our goal is to provide 700 children with the resources they need to explore their artistic talents and improve their communication skills. The presence and support of all the attendees and the proceeds will make a significant difference in these young lives. We’re proud as a team to have been able to underscore the need for such intervention to shape bright futures, with the help of the more privileged sections of society.”
Commenting on the theme of the fashion show, fashion maestro Shravan Kummar said, “Our team compiled together a lot of research material into the vibe and style in India pre-independence, the period of the independence struggle, and post-independence – thus recreating the trends of the Krantikaris to the Nizams and beyond. We’re overjoyed to see the response to the show and are incredibly happy to be associated with a noble cause that’s being overseen by the trusted team of Ready. Set. Go! initiative.”
