Addressing the gathering, Dr. Jayashree, Additional DMHO, Hyderabad said, “In today’s evolving healthcare environment, compliance should not be limited to paperwork, it must become an integral part of hospital culture. Good governance directly influences patient safety and public confidence. Platforms like PRAVARA 2026 help leadership teams identify gaps early, strengthen systems, and build transparent, accountable healthcare institutions. Strong coordination between hospital management and district authorities further improves response systems during critical situations. At the same time, strict adherence to regulations such as the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Act is essential to safeguard both patients and healthcare providers. Clear documentation, timely reporting, and ethical practices ensure that women receive safe and legally compliant care. When governance is proactive, patients ultimately receive care in a safer, more structured, and trustworthy environment.”
Mr. Vishal Maheshwari, CFO, QCIL, delivering the keynote address, said, “In today’s healthcare landscape, governance and financial discipline are inseparable from clinical excellence. Sustainable growth can only be achieved when compliance frameworks, transparent financial systems, and ethical practices function in alignment. As healthcare institutions expand and evolve, structured oversight becomes critical to managing risk and ensuring long-term stability. Platforms like PRAVARA 2026 enable leadership teams to integrate financial prudence with regulatory compliance, ultimately strengthening patient trust and institutional credibility.”
Dr. Pawan Kumar, CEO, CARE Hospitals, said, “PRAVARA 2026 is designed to reinforce strong governance and statutory awareness across our network. Clinical excellence must go hand-in-hand with clear protocols and compliance systems. Through collaborative discussions and expert insights, we aim to address emerging regulatory and medico-legal challenges while ensuring that governance supports seamless patient care. Continuous training and structured audits help our teams stay prepared for evolving healthcare regulations. Ultimately, our focus is to ensure that every patient who walks into CARE Hospitals experiences safe, ethical, and standardized care.”
Dr. Nikhil Mathur, Chief of Medical Services, said, “Patients place immense trust in healthcare institutions. That trust is built not only on medical expertise but also on strong systems and governance. Enforcement of laws such as the Clinical Establishments Act is not merely an administrative process, it serves as a protective framework for patient safety. Compliance is not about avoiding penalties, it is about preventing harm and ensuring responsible care delivery. True trust is built when clinical excellence is supported by accountability and responsibility.”
Dr. Amit Sing, CHRO, CARE Hospitals, speaking on people and HR compliance, said, “Human resources play a critical role in ensuring that hospitals function within a structured and compliant framework. With the introduction of the new labour codes, healthcare institutions must strengthen their policies related to employee welfare, workplace safety, and statutory adherence. Compliance in HR is not just about meeting legal obligations, it is about creating a transparent, fair, and accountable work environment for healthcare professionals. When employees feel protected and supported by strong governance systems, it directly contributes to better teamwork, higher morale, and ultimately improved patient care.”
Mr. Rajeev Chourey, Vice President – Quality, Operations & ESG, CARE Hospitals, added, “Healthcare operates within a dynamic regulatory framework. Compliance should be viewed as a strategic priority that safeguards patients and strengthens operational excellence. Through this summit, we are focusing on audit readiness, medico-legal risk mitigation, and standardized governance practices that enhance institutional credibility.”
The knowledge sessions covered key laws and regulations governing hospitals, including the Clinical Establishments Act, the Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act, and the Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissues Act. Experts also discussed medico-legal case management, consent practices, blood bank regulations, pollution control norms, and financial implications of statutory adherence. A panel discussion highlighted how internal and external audits can act as strong safeguards when integrated effectively into hospital systems.
The summit will continue tomorrow with sessions on corporate compliance, HR regulations, biomedical waste management, fire and safety standards, radiation safety norms, and statutory excellence recognitions.
PRAVARA 2026 reinforces CARE Hospitals commitment to safe, ethical, transparent, and accountable healthcare practices, ensuring that robust governance frameworks ultimately translate into better and safer outcomes for patients.
