Mumbai, Mar 16: Atomberg Technologies, a multi-category consumer appliances brand backed by investors including Temasek, Jungle Ventures and A91 Partners, has unveiled its air-conditioner rotary compressor technology at the ongoing ACREX India 2026 exhibition. This technology has been developed through the company’s B2B engineering arm Atomberg Innovation Private Limited (AIPL), which focuses on engineering solutions for the durables and HVAC ecosystem.
The newly introduced AC rotary compressor technology is designed and manufactured in India and developed for 1.5-ton air conditioners, integrating high-efficiency motor technology and improved NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) performance while complying with applicable Indian standards. This technology represents Atomberg’s expansion into HVAC component technologies and reinforces the company’s focus on innovative, indigenous appliance systems.
AIPL is as an end-to-end ODM partner, developing engineering-led solutions such as motor technologies, integrated drive solutions, embedded control systems, and integrated manufacturing, across technologies like rotary compressors, Air Conditioning motors (IDU, ODU, Commercial IDUs and ODUs), FOC algorithm motor drivers, solar tracker motors, and even drone motors.
Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Meena, founder and CEO of Atomberg Technologies, said,
“What began as a journey to reimagine everyday appliances through innovations such as BLDC motor technology has now evolved into building engineering solutions right here in India, such as our AC Rotary Compressor launched today, highlighting our foray into the HVAC ecosystem. Solving real-world problems remains at the core of what we do. Over the years, we have built in-house technology capabilities across motor design, embedded systems and controller engineering. Our R&D teams look beyond individual components and work on system-level integration to build solutions that are efficient, reliable and scalable.”
At Atomberg Innovation, engineering and manufacturing capabilities span the entire product lifecycle from electronics design and digital twin-based modelling to testing and in-house manufacturing across SMT lines, motor assembly lines, paint shops and automated processes. This integrated infrastructure enables the company to prototype and commercialize solutions, with some products moving from concept to production in as little as three months.
The Company’s vertically integrated manufacturing ecosystem supports both its consumer appliances business and B2B engineering solutions. Through its engineering-led approach and focus on high-efficiency technologies, Atomberg aims to strengthen India’s position in advanced appliance components while contributing to the Make in India vision by reducing reliance on imports and building globally competitive hardware capabilities domestically.
Building on its history of transforming the home appliances category through engineering-led innovation, Atomberg Technologies continues to extend this same technology into the broader ecosystem through AIPL. By developing advanced motors, controllers and drive solutions, the company is strengthening its position as an indigenous deep-tech engineering platform.
