Aero Premier League Announces Rescheduling Of Inaugural Season Amid Middle East Situation

New Delhi, India, Mar 03: The Aero Premier League (APL), a global first of its kind T10 cricket tournament dedicated to the aviation linked industries, has announced the rescheduling of its highly anticipated inaugural season.

Originally slated to run from 17th March to 24th March in the National Capital Region (NCR), the league has taken the difficult but necessary decision to postpone in light of the ongoing crisis in the Middle East and its far-reaching impact on the global aviation sector. The strategic call was taken following careful deliberation by the league‘s joint venture partners Prithvi 360 Degree Pvt Ltd and Sidsportx Enterprises in close consultation with participating teams, and key stakeholders across the aviation industry.

Speaking on the rescheduling, Abhishek Sengupta, COO, Aero Premier League, said, “The situation unfolding in the Middle East has had a significant impact on the aviation ecosystem. The safety, wellbeing, and peace of mind of our participants, partners, and everyone connected to the league comes before everything else. We felt it would be inappropriate to proceed with the tournament as planned while so many in our aviation family are directly affected by the crisis. We are committed to rescheduling at the right time and delivering the landmark inaugural season that this community deserves.”

The Aero Premier League was set to feature 10 competitive teams representing leading institutions from airlines, customs, airports, logistics, hospitality, and other major sectors connected to the aviation ecosystem. Designed as a fast-paced T10 format tournament, the league promised 23 thrilling matches over eight days, with prime-time evening broadcast slots on leading sports platforms to maximise fan engagement and industry participation.

The league had already attracted significant interest from top names across the aviation industry, making the rescheduling decision one that the organisers have not taken lightly. All registered participants, teams, and stakeholders will be notified directly with confirmed revised dates in due course.

The Aero Premier League remains steadfast in its vision of building a powerful platform where industry leaders, professionals, and brands come together on the cricket field and is committed to making the inaugural season a landmark moment for Indian sport.
