Droupadi Murmu Visits Delhi Jagannath Temple on Her 66th Birthday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party extended their warm wishes to President Droupadi Murmu on her 66th birthday on Thursday. Modi praised Murmu’s “exemplary service and dedication to our nation,” highlighting her wisdom and focus on serving the poor and marginalized as inspirational.

In his message on X, PM Modi wrote, Warm birthday wishes to Rashtrapati Ji. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his birthday wishes, acknowledging the President’s dedication to the nation’s development as a source of inspiration.

On her birthday, Murmu visited the Lord Jagannath temple in Delhi. Born on June 20, 1958, in Uparbeda village, Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district, Murmu made history as India’s first-ever tribal President when she took office on July 25, 2022, a milestone for the country’s indigenous communities.
