Gurugram, Feb 17: MDI Gurgaon, a leading institution committed to responsible leadership and idea-led learning, hosted Imperium 2026, a three-day flagship student festival at its campus in Gurgaon. The event brought together students from leading management institutes, faculty members, alumni, and industry partners. Imperium 2026 focused on competition, cultural engagement, and campus-wide participation, marking one of the largest student-led gatherings at the institute this year.

Imperium is organised annually by the student community of MDI Gurgaon. The 2026 edition was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Jyotsna Bhatnagar, Dean, Graduate Programmes, and Prof. Dr. Anurag Singh Chauhan, Chairperson, Student Affairs. Activities across the three days were designed to encourage collaboration, creative expression, and peer engagement through competitions, performances, and informal interactions.

The festival opened with Starlit Serenade. January 31 featured Neon Nexus with live music performances followed by a DJ-led programme. The festival concluded with Pro Night at the final evening with a live performance by singer Amit Trivedi and strong on-ground participation.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Anurag Singh Chauhan, Chairperson, Student Affairs, MDI Gurgaon, said,

“Imperium reflects the strength of a student community that takes ownership of ideas and execution. Platforms like this allow students to apply judgment, coordination, and accountability in real settings. The level of participation and the depth of engagement this year reflect the strength of the processes behind the festival. Such experiences stay with students even beyond the classroom and shape their way of approaching responsibility in their professional lives.”

Imperium 2026 was supported by several corporate partners across sectors. SBI joined as the Title Sponsor, with Indian Oil as Associate Partner and Raphe as Pro Night Sponsor. Other partners included Coca Cola, Suzuki, Tata Motors, Nissan, Grant Thornton, SafeExpress, Ixigo, EazyDiner, Newme, Smaaash, Yakult, Plum, Denver, and Jio Saavn.
