05/07/2024- Shubman Gill’s newly formed Team India has landed in Harare for a five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, set to begin on Saturday. Leading the squad in the absence of regular captain Rohit Sharma, who recently guided India to its second ICC T20 World Cup title, Gill will be supported by National Cricket Academy chief VVS Laxman, who will act as the stand-in head coach.
Ahead of the series, Sai Sudharsan, Jitesh Sharma, and Harshit Rana have been added to India’s squad for the first two matches. All five T20Is will be held at the Harare Sports Club, with the series opener scheduled for July 6 at 4:30 PM IST.
Fans can catch the live broadcast of the India vs. Zimbabwe T20I series on the Sony Sports Network, while live streaming will be available on the SonyLiv app and website.
