The SSII MantraM Surgical Robot Yatra is India’s first initiative to deliver robotic surgical training directly to hospitals and medical colleges through a fully mobile platform. The program has already impacted hundreds of doctors and trainees nationwide, equipping them with the skills and confidence to embrace the future of surgery.

SS Innovations International is committed to revolutionizing India’s healthcare landscape through indigenous, cutting-edge medical technologies. The company’s flagship product, the SSII MantraM Surgical Robot, is a testament to India’s growing strength in robotic surgery innovation. By bringing this technology directly to hospitals, SSII is bridging the gap between advanced surgical capabilities and underserved regions, ensuring that precision, safety, and accessibility are no longer limited by geography.

Built on a BharatBenz 1824 chassis, the SSI MantraM unit weighs 18,500 kg and measures 11.9m (L) x 2.59m (W) x 3.49m (H). The fully modified vehicle, excluding the robotic system, costs approximately INR 1.3 Crores. SSI Innovations custom-engineered the bus, featuring a reinforced base, actuator-based patient-side carts, and locking systems to ensure stability and calibration of the robotic arms. Its expandable cabin provides adequate space for surgical teams, while air suspension, air conditioning (maintained at 21°C ± 3°C and 55% RH), and EMI/EMC compliance protect the sensitive electronics and maintain surgical integrity. Designed for remote and underserved areas, SSI MantraM includes backup power systems (5 kVA onboard generators, external compatibility), high-speed telecom infrastructure, and research-backed satellite connectivity for future-ready telesurgery. A 380-litre fuel tank supports long-distance travel. The unit also includes a dedicated driver’s cabin, multiple access points, and a special ramp for safe equipment movement.

Furthermore, SSI MantraM is a testament to SS Innovation’s unwavering commitment to revolutionising healthcare through innovation and precision engineering. By continuously advancing its capabilities, SSI is redefining the possibilities of healthcare. This initiative is not just about technology; it’s about breaking barriers and ensuring that life-saving, world-class surgical care reaches even the most remote and underserved communities.
