New Delhi May 8th, 2024: Athena Education, a leading education consulting firm, celebrates a decade of mentoring students to find their unique human brand and gain admission at top universities. In the 2023-24 academic year, Athena students secured admissions to prestigious institutions around the globe, including highly selective universities including Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, Brown, Oxford, and Cambridge, reflecting the effectiveness of Athena’s holistic approach to mentorship. Over 900 acceptances were recorded, including 20 Ivy League admissions, and 120 more at other top colleges including Oxford, Cambridge, Princeton, MIT, Stanford, and UPenn. Overall, the admission rate to the elite universities for international students working with Athena was ten times the global average.
Since its inception in 2014, Athena has served students from 21 countries, facilitating over 3,400 acceptances to universities worldwide. Athena’s one-of-a-kind program focuses on identifying a student’s innate qualities, guiding them toward excellence in their field, while teaching them future-proof skills they’ll need to succeed in a rapidly evolving career landscape. The specialists in the Athena Knowledge Center and the Eureka Research Program enable high schoolers to develop 21st-century skills. Through experiential learning and impactful projects, they explore disciplines such as machine learning, economics, psychology, art & design, and sociology.
Speaking on the occasion, Athena’s co-founder, Rahul Subramaniam, said, “As we enter our tenth year, we are expanding to reach more diverse students from all segments of society and from more parts of our world. He further added, “The next decade will represent a turning point for the education industry. We plan to expand our existing faculty of subject-matter specialists across disciplines, enhancing the diversity of our experiential Academy workshops even further. This targeted instruction is administered by expert professionals, including a PhD in theoretical nuclear physics from Bhabha Atomic Research Center, a PhD in chemistry from the University of Manchester, a former Harvard admissions officer, and many more. We also seek to train high school students to conduct scholarly research; in doing so, they develop the values of intellectual inquiry, ethics, and grit that top colleges seek in their applicants.”
Beyond the United States, in 2024, 80% of Athena’s students secured admission to the top 10 universities in the UK, including prestigious institutions such as Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial, and King’s College London. Additionally, Athena’s specialization in competitive majors such as Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, and Politics ensures that every student spends the next chapter of their lives pursuing the subjects of their choice.
