The visit is being viewed as an important opportunity to deepen Odisha’s engagement with Japan and explore partnerships that could translate into investment opportunities and employment prospects for the state.

Japanese delegation to interact with Odisha’s startup and business community

The visiting delegation will begin its official engagements on November 10 with an interaction involving Odisha’s startup ecosystem and business community at Startup Odisha’s O-Hub in Bhubaneswar.

The programme will also include a visit to the Central Tool Room and Training Centre (CTTC), followed by a business roundtable bringing together state government officials, industry representatives, Japanese companies operating in Odisha and business delegates from Tottori.

Discussions are expected to explore investment possibilities and business partnerships across sectors such as manufacturing, food processing, technology and other emerging industries.

The interactions are expected to provide Japanese businesses with an opportunity to understand Odisha’s industrial ecosystem and identify potential areas for collaboration.

On November 11, members of the Japanese business delegation will visit the Indo-Nissin facility at the Khordha Food Processing Park to gain insights into the operations of the Japanese company in Odisha.

Skill development and technical education on agenda

Strengthening cooperation in skill development and technical education will also feature prominently during the visit.

Beyond business and industrial cooperation, the visit will also focus on strengthening people-to-people connections.

A cultural programme at Kala Bhoomi in Bhubaneswar will showcase the rich traditions and cultural heritage of Odisha and Tottori Prefecture.

The initiative is expected to encourage cultural understanding and provide a platform for future exchanges involving students, youth and professionals from both regions.
