The move marks the next step in realme’s software experience, bringing a smarter, smoother and more intuitive experience to young users in India and around the world.

A New Step for the realme Software Experience
Through closer collaboration with the ColorOS team, realme will bring more advanced software experiences to users, while continuing to build on the experiences and identity that make realme, realme. From realme UI 7.0 to ColorOS 17, the transition represents a step forward rather than a departure from the experience realme users know.
ColorOS 17 is built around two key experience directions: Smooth and AI. It delivers a consistently fluid experience through responsive interactions, silky-smooth animations and intelligent resource management that helps maintain stable performance over time. ColorOS 17 Rollout for realme Devices
ColorOS 17 will be available in India from October, 2026, with the first batch including realme GT 8 Pro, realme GT 7 Pro, realme 16 Pro and realme 16 Pro+.
