Hyderabad, October 05th, 2026: KLH Hyderabad today inaugurated its Agentic AI Campus initiative and signed an MoU with HCL Group AI Labs, unveiling a roadmap that places AI-powered learning and student innovation at the centre of its academic vision. The collaboration aims to equip students across disciplines to understand, build and apply intelligent technologies through practical projects, faculty mentorship and industry engagement. Mr. Deepak Sarvanan, National Head, HCL Group AI Labs, formally inaugurated the initiative at a press meet in KLH Bachupally campus in Hyderabad.
Dr. L. Koteswara Rao, Principal, KLH Bachupally, represented KLH at the MoU exchange, alongside Dr. A. Srinath, Dean – Skill Development, in the presence of other senior officials, deans, faculty and staff.
The initiative aims to make AI an integral part of the student experience. From exploring concepts in the classroom to developing applications, students will be encouraged to use AI to investigate problems, test ideas and create solutions relevant to industry and society.
Er. Koneru Lakshman Havish, Vice President, KL Deemed to be University said, “We want students to develop the confidence and skills to shape how AI is used in their chosen fields. Our collaboration with HCL Group AI Labs will help connect classroom learning with hands-on projects and industry expertise, giving students opportunities to build intelligent solutions for real-world needs. As we develop our Agentic AI Campus, our focus is on preparing young people to innovate responsibly and contribute meaningfully to an evolving workplace.”
Agentic AI brings a new dimension to this approach. These systems can plan and carry out a series of tasks towards a defined goal, with appropriate human oversight. Understanding how such systems work will help students explore applications that extend from analysing information to coordinating workflows and supporting decisions.
The proposed roadmap envisages project-based learning in areas such as business automation, data-driven services and discipline-specific AI applications. Students will be encouraged to design and test solutions, evaluating their accuracy, reliability and practical value.
Faculty readiness will be a key part of the campus’s development. The collaboration envisages supporting educators in integrating AI into teaching, assignments and mentorship, helping students connect technical understanding with critical thinking and independent judgement.
Responsible AI use will remain central to the learning approach, with attention to data privacy, bias, reliability and human accountability. Students will be encouraged to question outputs, verify information and understand the limitations of the systems they develop and use.
Through its collaboration with HCL Group AI Labs, KLH Hyderabad aims to strengthen the connection between academic learning and the evolving workplace across its Bachupally and Aziznagar campuses, preparing students to develop AI solutions and apply them thoughtfully to real-world challenges.
