October 03, 2026: Holmdel, NJ – Bayshore Medical Center Foundation is pleased to announce that Jack Thompson has been named its new executive director of Development. Thompson has spent the last decade bolstering his track record as a highly effective fundraising leader, cultivating and strengthening relationships with major donors in previous positions with NPR and Cornell University. Jack consistently exceeded fundraising goals, securing six and seven-figure gifts in his prior roles.

As executive director of Development, Thompson will lead all aspects of philanthropy at Bayshore — a not-for-profit hospital — working in close partnership with Hackensack Meridian Bayshore Medical Center president and chief hospital executive Caitlin Miller, MBA, MS, BSN, RN-BC, Bayshore Medical Center Foundation trustees, hospital leadership and colleagues within Hackensack Meridian Health Foundation to advance major gifts at Bayshore.

“Jack’s extensive experience in philanthropy will be a tremendous asset for our team, for Bayshore Medical Center and for our patients who rely on Bayshore,” said Jacqueline M. Bartley-Oxley, J.D., vice president of community hospital development and gift planning.

As a not-for-profit hospital, Bayshore Medical Center has no shareholders and no owners; every dollar the hospital earns — and every dollar it receives — is reinvested directly into patient care. Charitable giving is what allows not-for-profit hospitals, like Bayshore, to move faster than its budget, to say yes to bold ideas and to build capacity for a community before the need becomes a crisis.

Thompson began his career with an internship at Carnegie Hall, offering him his first foray into development and fundraising. A Colts Neck native, Thompson resides in the area with his wife and two children.
