It could be Sarvam AI, building the bedrock of Sovereign AI for India through a full-stack Generative AI platform powered by sovereign models. A rotating seat from TRUEassist that gives a senior citizen greater independence. An AI-powered quality inspection solution from Switch On that spots manufacturing defects before they reach the production line. Drones and multisensor technologies from Volar Alta that help predict equipment failure. An electric vehicle solution from Zen Mobility designed for sustainable last-mile logistics. Or battery recycling technologies from MiniMines that recover valuable materials from end-of-life lithium-ion batteries.
Across India, startups are reimagining what mobility can mean and the next generation of these innovations is finding a path from experimentation and pilot stages to real-world deployment.
Recognizing the potential of this startup ecosystem, NSRCEL, the startup hub at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), and Maruti Suzuki India Limited have launched the seventh cohort of their Incubation Program for Mobility Startups. The six-month program is designed to support high-potential startups at the early-revenue to scale stage across mobility and allied sectors, helping them strengthen their solutions, validate use cases in real-world environments, and accelerate their path to market.
The program focuses on startups working across Vehicle Technology, Clean tech, Mobility/Mobility Infrastructure, Digital Transformation (Industry 4.0 and 5.0), and Green Manufacturing.
Selected startups will receive incubation support from NSRCEL, along with access to paid pilot opportunities with Maruti Suzuki, need-based mentoring from industry experts, curated industry and ecosystem connections. Winners will also have the opportunity to receive a Maruti Suzuki car, international immersion opportunities, and prize money.
The program is particularly suited to startups looking to work closely with OEMs, demonstrate the applicability of their solutions in real-world environments, and build pathways for commercial deployment and scale.
Beyond incubation, the NSRCEL–Maruti Suzuki collaboration has enabled technology companies to explore business engagements with the automotive and mobility ecosystem.
These companies include EaseworkAI, an AI-first intelligence and automation platform for procurement and supply chain in manufacturing; Woloo, a smart hygiene network connecting women to clean and accessible washrooms; and Siftly, which optimizes brand visibility across AI search engines.
Other companies that have engaged with Maruti Suzuki include Innovate Labs, which develops AR, VR, and XR solutions; Sand Logic, which builds custom AI infrastructure and technology stacks.
These collaborations demonstrate the program’s focus on creating meaningful connections between startups and industry-helping promising technologies move beyond experimentation and validation towards practical deployment and commercial opportunities
