Ajay Devgn, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Siddharth and Ravi Kishan to headline FICCI FRAMES 2026 alongside key policymakers and industry leaders

FICCI FRAMES, India’s longest-running convention for the business of media and entertainment, returns for its 26th edition on September 29 and 30, 2026 at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Anchored on the theme ‘India’s Media Moment: Creating Value in an Age of Infinite Content’, this year’s convention will examine how an industry that now reaches the world’s largest connected audience, can turn content abundance into lasting value across television, streaming, films, sports, gaming, live events and the creator economy.

The inaugural will include addresses by Anant Goenka, President, FICCI, and Kevin Vaz, Chair, FICCI Media & Entertainment Committee, and CEO, Entertainment, JioStar, as well as remarks by FICCI FRAMES Ambassador Ayushmann Khurrana.

Kevin Vaz, Chair, FICCI Media & Entertainment Committee, and CEO, Entertainment, JioStar, said, “India’s media and entertainment industry is changing rapidly, driven by new forms of storytelling with audiences consuming content across multiple screens. FICCI FRAMES provides an opportunity for the people who create, build and lead this industry to come together and examine these changes from multiple perspectives. With some of India’s most recognised actors and creators participating alongside business and industry leaders, this year’s conversations will reflect both the creative and commercial forces shaping the next phase of Indian entertainment.”

25 Years of Building India’s Media and Entertainment Economy

Since its inception, FICCI FRAMES has grown alongside India’s media and entertainment industry, bringing together businesses, creators, technology companies and policymakers to shape the conversations influencing the sector. From the case for formal industry status and institutional finance to digitisation, anti-piracy, AVGC-XR, artificial intelligence and copyright, FRAMES has provided a forum for issues that have shaped the industry’s evolution.

Its impact is reflected in the institutions and platforms it has built. The annual FICCI-EY Media & Entertainment Report provides a reference point for industry, investors and policymakers. The Best Animated FRAMES (BAF) Awards, instituted in 2004, recognise talent across animation, VFX, gaming, comics and XR, while Frame Your Idea (FYI), launched in 2015, has facilitated more than 5,000 curated meetings between emerging writers and producers or platforms.

The industry has scaled significantly over the same period. According to the FICCI-EY Media & Entertainment Report released in March 2026, the sector grew 9% in 2025 to INR 2.78 lakh crore and directly employs around 2.75 million people. It is projected to reach INR 3.3 lakh crore by 2028, reflecting the continued expansion of India’s creative economy and its growing contribution to the global media and entertainment landscape.
