Lacta Insight™ is the plant operations product within LactaAI™, Findability Sciences’ platform for the dairy industry. It connects production, laboratory, quality, maintenance and enterprise data to help dairy processors identify where yield is slipping, understand the likely cause and decide what to do next.
India produced 247.87 million tonnes of milk in 2024–25 and remains the world’s largest milk-producing country. At this scale, small improvements in recovery, process stability and energy use can create substantial value for processors. Milk composition changes with the season, herd and source. Equipment performance also shifts over time. While individual readings may remain within acceptable limits, several small changes occurring together can signal a developing problem. Plants often discover the resulting loss only after laboratory results arrive or yield reconciliation is completed. By then, the lost milk solids cannot be recovered.

Works With Existing Plant Systems
Lacta Insight™ connects with existing PLC, SCADA, DCS, ERP, MES, LIMS and process historian environments. Processors do not need to replace their current systems or add new sensors simply to begin. The product can run within the plant’s own operational technology environment, allowing production data to remain at the facility. A hosted deployment option is also available, and customers retain ownership of their process data.
Lacta Insight™ currently supports butter, milk powder, milk protein concentrate and whey lines. It can also be configured for cheese and other dairy processes. Processors can begin with one priority line and extend it to other lines over time.
Evaluation Underway With Indian Dairy Processor
Lacta Insight™ is currently being evaluated by a major Indian dairy processor. The company’s identity remains confidential while the evaluation is underway. Each implementation starts by reviewing the plant’s available data, establishing its current performance and agreeing on measurable operational goals. These may include reducing solids loss, improving recovery, shortening investigation time, lowering quality deviations or reducing energy consumption.
